W Connection was created by widows, for widows—women who understand, from lived experience, the need to rebuild our lives, steady support, and genuine understanding as we learn how to move forward.

Our widow support programs are created understanding that there is no timeline for a widow, but there is a journey. You choose the program(s) that feels right for where you are on your journey.

Peer-Led Support TOPIC Meetings (Online via Zoom)

Peer‑Led Support TOPIC Meetings offer a safe, confidential space for widows seeking compassionate, widow‑to‑widow support. Each meeting focuses on a specific topic designed to help you navigate the challenges of widowhood and discover effective strategies for rebuilding your life.  This makes these meetings especially valuable for anyone searching for widow support groups, grief support for widows, or peer‑led grief meetings.

These support group meetings guide you through essential parts of the healing journey—overcoming loneliness, processing grief, anger, and guilt, identifying and using your character strengths, building resilience, rediscovering your identity, and embracing post‑traumatic growth.

💪 July: Journey of a W Connection Member: At The W Connection, our mountain top goal for every member is to grow through their loss, in their own way and in their own timeline.  This month, we explore how members move from Grief to Growth.

💪 August: Advice Exchange: Widows often face practical and emotional challenges we never expected to navigate alone. At The W Connection, our widow support community offers a place to share experiences, learn from one another, and find comfort in knowing you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself. Founded on the principle of widows helping widows, we believe healing and strength grow through shared stories. This month, consider bringing a challenge — practical, emotional, or simply unfamiliar — to the group for guidance. When we show up and speak honestly, we create connection, clarity, and support.

Peer-led topic meetings are held weekly, with one meeting each month specifically geared to Young Widows.

Peer-Led Support Topic Meetings are part of your membership, there is no additional charge.

W Chat (Online via Zoom)

W Chat is geared for members who are further along on their journey.  They are ready to choose new ideas, move to the next step in their journey, and define themselves as more than a widow. This is for members who feel more ready to Reinvent, Reimagine their futures, and find Joy.

Led by trained widowed facilitators, each W Chat builds on a monthly theme and offers thoughtful guidance, shared wisdom, and supportive conversation.

💪 July: Moving From Grief to Growth: At The W Connection, we say, “We had no choice about becoming a widow, but we have a choice on how we want to live the rest of our lives.”  This month, we explore the choices and effort needed to Grow, Empower & Make a Difference.

💪 August: Moving From Grief to Growth:  This month’s W Chat highlights the power of lived experience and how sharing your story can support another widow. Whether you’re further along in your journey or still facing new challenges, your courage, setbacks, and solutions all have value.

We invite you to share:

  • Challenges you’ve navigated — and what helped.
  • Unexpected hurdles along the way.
  • Ways you’ve supported other widows
  • Current challenges where you’d welcome guidance

Our widow support community built on honest connection and shared insight. When we speak openly about what we’re facing, we find strength, clarity, and healing together. Offering your experience isn’t just helpful –it’s empowering, reminding you how far you’ve come and how much you have to give back.

W Chats take place on the third Tuesday of every month at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT.
