W Connection was created by widows, for widows. We know first-hand that in addition to all our grief and pain, finding new strategies, support, and understanding is indispensable as we strive to take steps to move forward.

Our widow support programs are created understanding that there is no timeline for a widow, but there is a journey. We created programs for insight, support and connection –to support these needs and help you re-build your life.

You choose the program(s) that resonates with you based on where you are on your journey.

W Book Club

Our W Book Club GEM volunteers have picked
Frozen River
by Ariel Lawhon

This historical mystery is based on the life of Martha Ballard, 1735-1812. She was a midwife, healer, and diarist, who recorded what life was like for colonial-frontier women.

“The stirring story of one woman’s quest for justice…Lawhon combines modern prose with the immediacy of her source material, making for an accessible and textured narrative. This accomplished historical story(sic) speaks to centuries-old inequities that remain in the present day.”
