Dawn Nargi
Executive Director
Co-Founder Of The W Connection
In 2007, Dawn gave birth to her first child. Dawn’s husband, Norman was diagnosed with cancer one month later and died when William was just 3 months’ old. Understanding the needs of widows and the limited support services available, Dawn started work on creating The W Connection in 2009 with the single goal of making it easier for women to rebuild their lives after the death of a partner.
Prior to The W Connection, Dawn’s visionary, business process reengineering and strong execution skills allowed her to build technology solutions to streamline business processes for many Fortune 500 firms. In her career, she developed a Human Resources Transaction Application that was sold and customized to support any business.
In 2015, Dawn left her Executive Position in a financial firm and committed to expanding The W Connection’s programs and services. Dawn’s business background, combined with her learning and development expertise and technical knowledge were crucial to creating key elements of The W Connection’s programs and services. Dawn’s vision is to continually grow The W Connection to adapt to the needs of women and to meet women where they are on their journey.
In addition, Dawn is an adjunct professor teaching technology and nonprofit management at various universities. She also teaches financial literacy at a public school in New York.
